Handling and Robot Integration

Ware-handling on the hot end is an essential part of the global implementation strategy and planning. There are a multitude of systems with their very specific focus. In general we use:

  • rotary and linear systems
  • individual ware-handling or in groups (multi-gripper)
  • fully integrated into the forming or processing machine design
  • individual tooling for handling which is fully integrated into industrial robots, which in turn are fully integrated into the control system of the production line

Handling systems are an important part of the process and quality and production output targets. The ware-handling strategy from forming and hot-end processes to the annealing lehr is also very much limited by the available space and access areas for staff and vehicles.

Robot integration

robot systems may carry out simple jobs quite fast and with a high cost-efficiency while on the other hand robots may carry out complex and elegant movements and adapt to the requirements of hot glass perfectly.
